Lady Hornets knock off Towanda for 1st win since 2019

The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team broke a 29-match winless streak as they edged Towanda 3-2 on Thursday, September 8.

The last time the Lady Hornets won was September 30, 2019 against Towanda on Senior Night.

"The girls' confidence has been growing with every match and we had two great practices this week," head coach Andy Borzok said. "I couldn’t be more proud of them."

The Lady Hornets improve to 1-6 (1-2 NTL) on the year. They are back in action at Packer Park on Monday, September 12 against North Penn-Liberty.
