Coudersport swept the Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team in a non-league game on Monday, September 26.
Coudersport won the first set 25-21, took the 2nd 25-16, and closed out the game with a 25-13 win in the third set.
Senior Emily Starkweather led the Lady Hornets with 7 points and 6 digs, senior Maddi Bordas had 9 assists, junior Meredith Brownlee had 8 digs and 3 kills, junior Mya Lockett had 4 blocks, and sophomores Paige Logsdon and Lexi Urena scored 5 points each. Logsdon added 6 kills and 5 digs while Urena also added 5 kills and 4 assists.
In the JV game Coudersport won 2-1 to drop the Lady Hornets' record to 5-6.
The loss in the Varsity game drops the Lady Hornets to 6-5 (3-3 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action this evening against Sayre.
