Canton lost to Williamson in track and field action to start the year. The boys fell 100-45, and the girls lost 79-58.
The Lady Warrior 4x800 relay of Heidi Halboerster, Marissa Hess, Kali Wesneski and Kaydee Larcom won in 13:42.0. Their 4x400 relay of Camille McRoberts, Laci Niemczyk, Natalie Kapichok and Kali Wesneski won in 4:45.
They swept the 400 with Niemczyk (1:07.7), Halboerster (1:18.4) and Larcom (1:19.6), while going 1-2 in the 800 with McRoberts (2:47.2) and Wesneski (2:58.5).
McRoberts won the 1600 in 6:09.5.
Reagan Kelley (31-feet, 4-inches) won the shot put with teammate Lauren Gleckner (22-feet, 10-inches) third. Larcom (11-feet, 11 1/4-inches) was second in the long jump.
Kapichok (23-feet, 3 1/4-inches) won the triple jump.
Kelley (79-feet, 2-inches) won the javelin with Gleckner (75-feet, 5-inches) second. Gleckner (63-feet, 7-inches) was second in the discus with Kelley (61-feet, 9-inches) third.
On the boys' side Connor Foust (12.2) was third in the 100 and second (25.0) in the 200. Isaiah Niemczyk (57.6) was second in the 400, while Hunter Ostrander (2:22) was third in the 800.
Michael Skipper (12:55.3) was second in the 3200.
Canton went 1-2-3 in the discus with Caiden Williams (104-feet, 11-inches), Anthony Asbury (99-feet, 5-inches) and Derek Atherton-Ely (84-feet, 1-inch).
Williams (37-feet, 6-inches) and Atherton-Ely (36-feet, 9-inches) went 1-2 in the shot put. Atherton-Ely (127-feet, 2-inches) won the javelin with Curtis Lammy (115-feet, 7-inches) second.
Williams (38-feet, 1 1/2-inches) and Niemczyk (35-feet, 1 1/2-inches) were first and second in the triple jump, while Niemczyk (18-feet, 1 1/2-inches) was third in the long jump.
