Lady Hornets suffer 2-0 loss to Williamson

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Williamson at home on Saturday, September 18.

After a scoreless first half the Warriors' Ella Churchill scored a pair of goals to down the Lady Hornets. Wellsboro out shot Williamson 8-5 during the game and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Senior Lilly Abadi stopped 4 shots in goal.

In the JV game Wellsboro played to a 2-2 tie. Freshman Chloe Brandenburg and sophomore Kallie Baltzley scored the goals for the Lady Hornets while freshman Annie Gehman made 6 saves in goal.

The loss drops the Lady Hornets' record to 1-3 (1-1 NTL). The team is back in action on the road at Athens on Wednesday, September 22.
