WINGATE — It took Selinsgrove a quarter to shake off the holiday rust, but then the Seals caught fire in the second quarter, knocking down five 3-pointers to take a nine-point halftime lead.
However, Selinsgrove needed a big final quarter from Ivan DeJesus on offense, and outstanding defense to knock off Bald Eagle Area, 57-44.
The Seals hadn't played since Dec. 23, a 10-day break.
Brett Foor scored nine of his 15 points in the second quarter, while Isaiah Ulrich knocked down two 3-pointers of his own as the Seals built a 28-20 lead.
Bald Eagle Area rallied to within a point after the third quarter, but the Seals took control in the final stanza.
