Quick start helps Lewisburg girls beat Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE - Lewisburg got off to strong starts to open the game and in the third quarter to knock off the Seals, 55-44, in a Heartland Athletic Conference crossover game.
The Green Dragons raced out to a 22-11 lead in the first quarter, but Avery DeFazio scored seven points in the second quarter, and Veronica Stanford knocked down a 3-pointer to bring the Seals back within seven at 34-27 at halftime.
Another 20-point explosion in the third quarter helped Lewisburg (7-13) push its lead to 19 after three quarters.
Selinsgrove (9-12) held the Green Dragons to just one point in the fourth quarter.
