The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team tied Williamson 2-2 on Saturday, September 26 at home.
Wellsboro scored first less than 3 minutes into the game on a goal by Lucas Cuneo. Williamson answered with a direct kick finding the back of the net. Gabe Sprouse scored Wellsboro's second goal of the half with under 15 minutes to play. Williamson tied the game with less than 4 minutes remaining in the match.
Wellsboro had 12 shots on goal to Williamson's 2, 2 corner kicks, and 5 direct kicks.
In the second match of the day, Wellsboro topped Williamson 3-1. Jonathan Carl had his first goal 6 minutes into the half. He scored again midway through the second half. Jacoby Strang scored the 3rd goal for Wellsboro off an assist from John Mcconaghy. Williamson scored their only goal of the match with 30 seconds remaining on the clock. Wellsboro had 11 shots on goal to Williamson's 2. Keeper Lucas Trescott has 1 save in goal for Wellsboro.
The Hornets are back in action at home on Tuesday, September 29 against North Penn-Liberty.
