Middle School Hornets shutout Williamson

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team shutout Williamson 4-0 on Saturday, September 19.

Michaiah Fitch found the back of the net in the first minute of the game off an assist by Owen Stevens Gabe Sprouse scored the second goal of the half with 16 minutes in, followed by Fitch's second goal with 7 minutes left in the half. Fitch completed his hat trick with the only goal in the second half in 53rd minute of the game. Keeper Annie Gehman had one save for Wellsboro.

Wellsboro continued the shut out in the second game of the day with a score of 10-0. River Moyer scored the first goal of the game just 2 minutes into the half. Maddy Losinger followed with goal at 12 minutes and another in the 27th minute. David Seeling found the back of the net twice at the 16th and 27th minute of the half. Carys Barlett (18th minute) and Micah Vickery (25th minute) rounded out the first half scoring.

Cassidy Mitchell got the second half scoring started with a goal 3 minutes in. Natalie Davis scored the remaining two goals of the game at the 53rd abd 55th minutes of the game. Keeper Braeden Abernathy had 1 save in goal for Wellsboro.

The win improves the young Hornets' record to 2-0. The team is back in action on Tuesday, September 22 at Athens.
