Lady Warriors suffer loss to Wellsboro

WELLSBORO — Canton's undefeated season ended on Wednesday as they lost to Wellsboro 3-0 in NTL volleyball play.
The Hornets topped them in straight sets 25-15, 25-22 and 25-17.
Annie Gaiotti had 10 points, seven digs, four kills and three aces for the Warriors as Carmya Martell added 19 assists, eight digs, five points and an ace. Jillian Shay had a point with 11 digs as Aislyn Williams finished with a point, three kills, three assists and four digs.
Jillaney Hartford had five kills with a point as Rachel Martin finished with six kills and three digs. Gracie Covert added three points and two kills, Trisha Gilbert had five digs, a point and an ace and Lauren Gleckner chipped in with two kills.
Canton JV won 2-0 with sets victories of 25-12 and 25-18.
