Lady Hornets roll to big win over Sayre

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team scored 9 first-half goals en route to a 12-0 shutout victory over Sayre on Saturday, September 26.

Senior Kerrah Clymer and sophomore Jordyn Abernathy both recorded hat tricks in the game, and senior Jena Boyce scored a pair of goals. Senior Cara Tennis, junior Lilly Abadi, sophomore Molly Ingerick, and freshman Sara Seeling all added single goals.

Clymer added 3 assists, Boyce, Tennis, and senior Madelyn Rudy assisted on 2 goals each, and Abadi and freshman Emma Elkin added assists.

The Lady Hornets took 45 shots throughout the game while holding the Lady Redskins to just two attempts. Abadi (first half) and Ingerick (second half) each recorded saves in goal.

The win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 3-0-1 (3-0-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 29 at Troy.
