Wellsboro, PA & Blossburg, PA - Circle W Sports is proud to announce the Southern Tioga School District is partnering with Circle W Sports.
Circle W Sports, LLC is an online service that provides a platform for high school teams and sports organizations to promote coaches, programs, and student-athletes.
Southern Tioga School District, comprising North Penn-Mansfield and North Penn-Liberty, will begin utilizing the services of Circle W Sports on January 30, 2020.
"We are excited to partner with Circle W Sports in showcasing our student-athletes, their teamwork and their accomplishments! And in addition to allowing our community to have great coverage in our sporting events, we are able to offer career-focused experiences as students take on media coverage gathering statistics, writing articles and archiving community athletic accomplishments," North Penn-Liberty Principal Emily Ostrom Graham said.
"Circle W Sports is well known in our area for offering statistics and history of local athletics as well as the athletes and coaches involved," said Selina Bogaczyk, North Penn-Liberty Athletic Director. "This association between Southern Tioga and Circle W Sports will benefit our supporters by offering a comprehensive look into the past and present athletic teams within our district."
"North Penn-Mansfield High School is looking forward to becoming a part of Circle W Sports," said Wes Detar, North Penn-Mansfield Athletic Director. "Mansfield has had a rich tradition with our athletic programs. Since we have blended with students from North Penn and we move forward, the programs continue to excel and carry on these traditions. Being able to share what is happening in our sports' programs provides information that will encourage fans to not only follow us on the site, but come out and support our young athletes as well. Circle W Sports will provide us an opportunity to give our athletes and our programs the positive exposure they deserve."
Circle W Sports found its beginnings in 2006 when owner Ed Weaver launched WellsboroFootball.com, the flagship website promoting the Wellsboro Hornet Football team. The organization provides the latest up-to-date scores, statistics, and coverage in this region. Since 2006, WellsboroFootball.com has recorded over a half million page views and has spawned other websites including WellsboroAthletics.com, WellsboroBaseball.com, WellsboroBasketball.com, WellsboroXC.com, WellsboroGolf.com, and WellsboroSoftball.com. Each website provides player information, rosters, schedules, statistics, and history about each Wellsboro team.
Circle W Sports also runs and manages websites for PIAA District IV, the Northern Tier League, the Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame, Vaportrail 24/7, and the PIAA District 4 Football Coaches Association, provides statistical data to Pennsylvania Football News, WesternPAFootball.net, Home Page Sports, Fox Sports Williamsport, and the Valley Sports Report, and has launched websites for Athens Foootball, Loyalsock Football, Southern Columbia Football, Selinsgrove Football, Bucktail Football, Midd-West Football, Lewisburg Football, Ligonier Valley Football, Schuylkill Haven Football, and the Canton Warriors, Selinsgrove Seals, and Loyalsock Lancers Athletic Departments.
"We have been working with Southern Tioga School District since we started our mission to make a better online sports platform in 2015," owner Ed Weaver said. "We want to keep helping teams give a voice to their athletic programs and showcasing past history, current student-athlete achievements, and integrate all the data as we keep making a push towards the state level."
Phase One of the project begins now as Southern Tioga and Circle W Sports work together to add content about the 2019-2020 athletic teams including updated stats, pictures, and player profiles. Phase Two, adding historical content, will begin Summer 2020.
