Selinsgrove field hockey splits two games in Kingston

KINGSTON — Emily Swineford scored twice in the opener as Selinsgrove field hockey beat Hazleton, 2-0, but in the second game — undefeated Wyoming Seminary beat the Seals, 6-2.

In the first game, Swineford scored with 23:39 left in the first half off a Katie Bucher assist. Then Olivia Reichley set up Swineford with 4:04 left in the first half.

In the second game, Wyoming Seminary took a 3-0 lead, but the Seals scored two goals in 52 seconds to get back into the game. Anna Gephart scored off an assist from Reichley with 17:52 left in the game.

Selinsgrove (9-3) pulled within 3-2 after a Sydney Schmouder goal set up by Hannah Day at the 17-minute mark, but Wyoming Seminary (11-0) scored the three goals in the final 15 minutes of the game to take the win.
