Senior Ty Morral concluded his Wellsboro Golf career at the PIAA State Championships at Heritage Hills Country Club in Hershey on Monday and Tuesday, October 21-22.
Morral shot a combined score of 163, finishing tied for 17th and 21 shots over-par. Morral shot and 84 on day 1 and then improved to a 79 on day 2.
"Ty played very well for two days. He had just a couple of swings that cost him," head coach Steve Macensky said. "He played well enough to win a medal. He should be very proud of his performance and the fact that he made it to the State tournament. I'm very proud of him and wish him the best of luck with his future plans in college."
Morral finished his 41-match career playing 272 holes of golf and shooting 87.68, with his lowest score, a 75, coming this year at Shepherd Hills.
WellsboroAthletics.com and WellsboroGolf.com would like to congratulate Ty on an outstanding career.
