Middle School Soccer ties Athens

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team tied Athens 1-1 on Saturday, September 7.
Athens scored first with 5 minutes left in the first half then the Hornets answered back 7 minutes into the 2nd half with a goal by Caden Smith. Wellsboro took 9 shots on goal and Athens took 13 shots. Mitchell Butler had 12 saves in goal.
Wellsboro (1-0-1) return to action at home on Tuesday, September 10 against Port Allegany.
