Wellsboro, PA & Lewisburg, PA - Circle W Sports, the new name in the game for High School sports, is excited to announce that the Lewisburg Green Dragons Football team have just joined the Circle W Sports family.
Circle W Sports, LLC is an online service that provides a platform for high school teams and sports organizations to promote coaches, programs, and student-athletes. The Green Dragons' new website will be hosted and supported by Circle W Sports, with articles and features from their professional writing and photography staff.
Lewisburg football is the latest entry into the Circle W Sports family. The Dragons' head coach Marc Persing sounded excited to bring the football team and Circle W Sports together.
"Lewisburg Football is excited to be a part of this growing family at Circle W Sports," Persing said. "We look forward to having a place that all members of our football family can be proud of. I'm excited about the opportunities that could come from giving our athletes the exposure that they have earned."
Circle W Sports found its beginnings in 2006 when owner Ed Weaver launched WellsboroFootball.com, the flagship website promoting the Wellsboro Hornet Football team. The organization provides the latest up-to-date scores, statistics, and coverage in this region. Since 2006, WellsboroFootball.com has recorded over a half million page views and has spawned other websites including WellsboroAthletics.com, WellsboroBaseball.com, WellsboroBasketball.com, WellsboroXC.com, WellsboroGolf.com, WellsboroSoccer.com, WellsboroSoftball.com, and WellsboroSwimming.com. Each website provides player information, rosters, schedules, statistics, and history about each Wellsboro team.
Circle W Sports also runs and manages websites for PIAA District IV, the Northern Tier League, the Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame, Vaportrail 24/7, and the PIAA District 4 Football Coaches Association, provides statistical data to Pennsylvania Football News, WesternPAFootball.net, Home Page Sports, Fox Sports Williamsport, and the Valley Sports Report, and has launched websites for Athens Foootball, Loyalsock Football, Southern Columbia Football, Selinsgrove Football, Bucktail Football, Midd-West Football, Ligonier Valley Football, and the Canton Warriors, Selinsgrove Seals, and Loyalsock Lancers Athletic Departments.
Circle W Sports Managing Editor Brett R. Crossley has spent multiple years covering Lewisburg's football team for various newspapers. He has grown a relationship with the team and coaches and will add another layer of depth for the team's website.
"I'm so happy to have Lewisburg involved with us," Crossley said. "They are a team located in a unique position within District 4. We will strive to shine a positive spotlight on Coach Persing's program for all the accomplishments it will surely reach throughout the season."
Circle W Sports owner Ed Weaver shared Crossley's excitement.
"We couldn't be happier to have Lewisburg on board with us starting with the 2019 season," Weaver said. "Lewisburg was one of the first school's we talked to back when Circle W Sports formed so to be working with their football team means a lot. We're glad Coach Persing took interest in our platform and what we can offer. When we met with Coach Persing he had a ton of great ideas on what he wanted to highlight on the website, so we can't wait to get started helping the Green Dragons promote their program, connect their community and alumni, and raise money all at the same time."
