Lady Hornets sweep CV

The Wellsboro Volleyball teams swept Cowanesque Valley on Thursday, September 19.
In the JV game Wellsboro won 2-0 (25-12, 25-15) while the Varsity team won in three sets.
The Lady Hornets cruised to a 25-7 win in the first set, won the second set 25-20, and took the third 25-13 for the sweep.
Senior Caitlyn Callahan had 20 kills, junior Breighanna Kemp had 14 assists, 11 points, and 4 aces, senior Ryann Adams had 13 points, 3 aces, and 12 digs, and senior Megan Starkweather had 9 assists, 4 kills, and 2 blocks. Junior Kathryn Burnett had 12 points (2 aces) and 4 digs, sophomore Emma Owlett had 4 kills, and junior Bailey Monks had 2 blocks.
The win keeps the Lady Hornets undefeated at 7-0 (5-0 NTL Large School Division). Wellsboro travels to Athens on Saturday, September 21.
