The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Basketball team lost 54-17 to Coudersport on Monday, February 4.
Trailing 14-8 aftter the first quarter Coudersport outscored Wellsboro 12-2 in the second quarter, then held them to just 7 points the entire second half to drop the Lady Hornets back to .500 with four games left in the regular season.
Senior Emma Poirier led Wellsboro with 6 points, senior Heidi Zuchowski and junior Cathryn Brought had 4 points each, junior Liza Manning scored 2 points, and sophomore Bailey Monks chipped in with a point.
There was no JV game.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 9-9 (9-3 NTL Large School Division). The team will be back in action on Wednesday against Troy for Senior Night.
