The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team completed the season sweep with Athens on Tuesday, October 16.
The Lady Hornets took the first set 25-17, won the second 25-13, and took the third 25-15.
Junior Megan Starkweather had 23 assists on the night, junior Caitlyn Callahan had 19 kills, 17 points, 5 assists, 4 digs, and a block, junior Ryann Adams had 12 digs, sophomore Breighanna Kemp recorded 8 assists, 8 points, and 3 aces, and senior Heidi Zuchowski had 9 points and 8 kills.
Sophomore Shiloh Duff added 3 kills and sophomore Bailey Monks pitched in with a block.
Athens' JV team defeated Wellsboro in straight sets, snapping a 4-game win streak.
The win improves the Varsity team's record to 15-1 (10-1 NTL Large School Division). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 18 at home against rival North Penn-Liberty.
