The Wellsboro Track & Field teams competed at the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University on Friday, April 13.
The boys finished 13th overall with 16.5 points while the girls were 10th with 30 points. Shikellamy took home the top spots in both the boys and girls meets.
Sophomore Aidan Hauser (11.66) and senior Alex Kozuhowski (11.75) were 6th and 7th in the 100m and Kozuhowski (24.17) was 5th in the 200m. Freshman Jonathan Wetzel (1:00.59) was 25th in the 400m, junior Trevor Weaver (2:27.93) was 23rd in the 800m, freshman Tylar Wright (5:43.94) was 24th in the 1600m, and junior Aidan Perry (12:13.88) and Wright (12:15.93) were 19th and 20th in the 3200m.
Sophomore Alex Burrell (18.7) was 10th in the 110m hurdles, sophomore Brennan Warner (48.63) was 10th in the 300m hurdles, junior Taylor Wheeler (9:30.25) was 14th in the 2000m steeplechase, sophomore Frank Kewitt (5-ft, 6) was 7th in the high jump, Hauser (20-ft) tied for 4th in the long jump, and sophomore Karter Witmer (37-ft, 8.5) was 8th in the triple jump.
Junior Hunter Brown (35-ft, 6) was 16th in the shot put, Perry (92-ft, 11) was 19th in the discus, and sophomore Austin Richards (130-ft, 1) was 15th in the javelin.
The Hornets' 4x400m team finished 9th in 3:53.09 and the 4x800m team came home 12th in 9:50.56.
Sophomore Caitlyn Callahan (13.53) was 5th in the 100m and 8th in the 200m (29.07). Freshman Aislinn Hoose (1:16.82) was 27th in the 400m, junior Kara Doane (3:02.82) was 22nd in the 800m, and junior Elizabeth Macias (6:46.82) was 26th in the 1600m.
Senior Grace Heckman (19.08) was 15th in the 100m hurdles, sophomore Kylie Butler (1:01.59) was 22nd in the 300m hurdles, and Macias (9:45.52) and senior Anna Bleggi (9:45.54) were 7th and 8th in the 2000m steeplechase.
Callahan (4-ft, 8) was 5th in the high jump, senior Kaitlyne Kramer (8-ft) tied for 2nd in the pole vault, sophomore Alex Chilson (13-ft, 7.5) was 12th in the long jump, junior Dahlia Hosey (36-ft, 8) won the triple jump, senior Grace Feil (21-ft, 6.5) was 24th in the shot put, senior Abby Feil (62-ft, 5) was 23rd in the discus, and sophomore Lauren Singer (84-ft, 2) was 15th in the javelin.
Wellsboro's 4x400m team finished 12th (5:05.51) while the 4x800m team was 8th (12:19.04).
Both team resume their regular season schedule on Tuesday, April 17 at Wyalusing.
