Hornets capture Shepard Hills crown; Adriance, Outman take spots

The Northern Tier League opened the 2018 golf season at Shepard Hills in Waverly, NY on Tuesday, August 21 with the Wellsboro Hornets bringing home the top spot.

The Hornets shot a 333 as a team, edging Northern Tioga' 339. Athens came home 3rd with 391, Sayre was 4th at 398, North Penn-Mansfield finished 5th (404) and Towanda rounded out the field with 418.

Northern Tioga's Tanner Adriance finished 1st overall with a round of 76 and teammate Austin Outman finished 2nd with a 79. Wellsboro's Ben Barnett (81) was 3rd followed by Joseph Propheta (83) and Brandyn Tuttle (84) rounded out the top 5.

The Hornets start the league year with a 5-0 record and Northern Tioga at 4-1.
