A day after helping the Hornets win their first District IV Golf championship in 37 years, senior Ben Barnett finished 2nd overall on day two at Williamsport Country Club on Friday, October 5.
Barnett shot a round 73 for a two day total of 147. Barnett beat Central Columbia's Grant Gronka by a stroke, but Gronka's day one 72 was enough to edge Barnett for the individual title.
In addition to Barnett all of Welsboro's golfers finished in the top 12 on the day. Senior Brandyn Tuttle and junior Ty Morral both finished with two day totals of 170 to tie for 8th and junior Joseph Propheta finished in 12th overall with a combined round of 172.
Wellsboro is back in action to wrap up league play at Tyoga Country Club on Monday, October 8 before Regional play starts later in the week.
