The Wyalusing Lady Rams concluded their regular season with a 3-1 win over Athens in NTL Large School Division volleyball on Wednesday, October 25.
Wyalusing and Athens split in the first two sets, with the Lady Rams taking the first set 25-14 and the Lady Wildcats winning set two, 25-23. Wyalusing then took the next two sets 25-19 and 25-10 to win the match in four sets.
Karlye Huffman led Wyalusing with 33 assists and 3 aces, Melody Kneller had 16 kills and 2 aces, Lylah Oswald had 12 kills and 3 aces, and Makayla Voda had 4 kills. Kristie Epler recorded 3 aces and 15 digs, Kendall Krewson served up 6 aces, Daphne Fassett had 2 kills and 3 aces, Madison Hebda had 3 aces, and Shelby Vitamvas pitched in with a kill.
Jocelyn Burns led Athens with 15 digs, Mimi Martin had 20 assist and 11 points, Sydney Liechty made 8 kills, and Meghan McDuffee scored 6 points.
Wyalusing finishes the season 14-3 overall and will be back in action on Tuesday, October 31 in the District IV Class AA semi-finals against Wellsboro at Williamson High School.
