West edges East in five in senior volleyball game

TROY — The East rallied back to force a fifth set, but in the end the West came out on top in the Annual Senior Recognition Volleyball game.

The West won 25-20, 25-19, before the East won 25-21, 25-22. The West closed it out 15-8 in the fifth.

Williamson's Hannah Deacon had a kill, three points and a block for the west and Emma McClaren of CV had five points and three kills.

Amaya Walker of CV had nine points, 10 kills and a block and Bethanny Boyce had three kills and three points.

Cheyenne Sherman had 15 kills, two points and a block and Jillian Graver had four kills, three points and a block.

Jenna Romaneo had a point and a kill and Brianne Keane had 19 points, five kills and a block, while Hannah Burnett had two points. Burnett led in digs and Keane led in assists.

Alia Post of Sayre had 12 digs, an ace, an assist and seven kills for the East and Cassie Shedden of Troy had 13 digs, 27 assists, eight kills and three blocks.

Camryn Brown of Sayre had nine kills, seven digs, two aces and five assists and Madi Doss of Towanda had 16 digs and an ace.

Breana Millard of Troy had four digs, a block and two kills and Sydney Liechty of Athens had eight kills, three digs, three aces and three blocks, while Troy's Caitlin DeLosa had eight digs, six kills and an assist.
