The Wellsboro and Wyalusing volleyball teams kept their perfect records intact with wins on Saturday, September 16.
Wellsboro remained perfect against Athens (10-0) under head coach Sharon Zuchowski by winning the first set 25-22 and taking sets two and three 25-17.
Senior Hannah Burnett led the Lady Hornets with 27 digs, senior Brianne Keane scored 17 points, had 9 aces, and made 19 assists; senior Cheyenne Sherman registered 5 kills, scored 10 points (3 aces), and made 18 digs, sophomore Caitlyn Callahan had 9 kills, and sophomore Megan Starkweather scored 5 points (3 aces) and had 2 kills.
Senior Jillian Graver also recorded 2 kills on the night.
The Lady Rams swept Troy by winning 25-10, 25-17, and 25-17. Karlye Huffman had 24 assists and 3 kills, Daphne Fassett had 3 kills, and Kristie Epler made 20 digs. Melody Kneller finished with 11 kills and 4 aces for Wyalusing, Makayla Voda had 8 kills, and Lylah Oswald made 9 kills.
Caitlyn Pepper had 17 assists to help guide the Lady Warriors to victory over NEB Saturday. Jilllian Shay, Taylor Kinner, and Esther Martin scored 7 points each and Hailey Wesneski added 9 kills.
Lindsay Moore had 14 attacks for NEB, McKenzie Haight had 3 aces, and McKenna Hurley made 3 blocks.
The Warriors won the first set 25-20 before Sayre won the second set with the same score. Williamson then edged Sayre 25-23 and 25-21 in the fourth for the win.
Lexi Post scored 13 points and recorded 18 assists to lead Sayre on the night while Alia Post had 11 points, 10 kills, and 13 digs.
