The Wellsboro Golf team started the 2017 season with a 2nd place finish at the Coudersport Invite on Thursday, August 17.
The Hornets shot a score of 244 to finish behind Northern Tioga (236).
Junior Brandyn Tuttle shot a 77 to finish 2nd overall and led the Hornets on the day. Junior Ben Barnett was 6th with an 81, sophomore Joseph Propheta (86) tied for 10th, junior Taynton Repard (89) was 15th, and sophomore Ty Morral (90) was 18th.
"I was very happy with how all 5 kid played," said head coach Steve Macensky. "5 scores of 90 and below is very exciting for the rest of season. It was a great day."
The Hornets are back in action as the NTL season starts at Shepard Hills on Tuesday, August 22.
