Members of the Wellsboro Swim team won four gold medals at the Williamsport Invite on Saturday, February 11.
Seniors Nathan Cotner and Olivia Kurtz won two golds each. Kurtz won both the 50 Freestyle (25.35) and the 100 Freestyle (55.47) while Cotner won the 50 Freestyle (22.96) and the 100 Freestyle (49.52).
Junior Connor Brought came home with a 4th place finish in the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.27) and 5th in the 200 Freestyle (1:59.50), junior Kaitlyne Kramer was 7th in the 200 Freestyle (2:19.93) and 9th in the 50 Freestyle (28.32), freshman Brennan Warner was 6th in the 100 Butterfly (1:08.21) and 8th in the 100 Backstroke (1:09.12), and senior Devan Warner was 11th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:18.78) and 13th in the 100 Freestyle (59.52).
Next up for the Hornets are the District IV Championships on March 1 and 2. 8 members of the team have qualified for the meet. Connor Brought has qualified in 5 events, freshman Cathryn Brought 3, junior Abby Feil 1, Cotner 6, Devan Warner 3, Brennan Warner 6, Kramer 4, and Kurtz 4.
