Senior Nathan Cotner and freshman Cathryn Brought both took home 2nd place finishes during night one of the District IV Championships on Wednesday, March 1.
Cotner swam a time of 1:46.16 in the 200 Freestyle, dropping over two seconds off his time at this year's NTL Championship meet. Brought clocked a 25.32 in the 50 Freestyle in her first trip to districts.
"The other swimmers in the race were outstanding and pushed me to try my hardest," Brought said. "I thought it was a great race by everyone."
Senior Olivia Kurtz also swam well during the meet, finishing right behind Brought in the 50 Freestyle in 25.44.
All three swimmers will wait to see if their times qualify for the PIAA Championship meet.
Junior Kaitlyne Kramer finished 13th in the 200 Freestyle (2:14.62) and 15th in the 50 Freestyle (27.53), junior Connor Brought was 7th in the 200 IM (2:14.78), freshman Brennan Warner was 8th in the 50 Freestyle (24.25), and senior Devan Warner was 11th in the 50 Freestyle (25.35).
The team will be back in the pool for night two of Districts later today.
