The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team won their first match against Sayre on Saturday, September 3.
The A-team won in straight sets, 25-8 and 25-18. Skylar Runyan and Chelsie English lead the team in serves, and Shiloh Duff lead the team in hits. Bailey Monks recorded 7 aces, Runyan had 5, and English had 4.
"For the first match, I was pleased with how they remained calm, communicated, and brought their hard work from the practice court onto the game court," said head coach Jen Outman.
In the B-team game, Wellsboro again won in two sets, 25-12 and 25-14. Mackenzie Patterson lead the team in serving.
The team will be back in action tomorrow at Northeast Bradford.
