The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team picked up a 2-0 win over Williamson on Wednesday, September 21.
The A-team won in straight sets, 26-24 and 25-21 to improve to 4-1 on the year. Chelsie English (eight service points with 4 of them aces) and Alina Pietrzyk (six service points with 3 aces) lead the team in service. Brei Kemp (10 assists) and Bailey Monks (9 assists) lead the team in assists.
Kemp also had 4 spikes and 1 kill, Chelsie English had 5 spikes and 1 kill, Jordan Judlin had 4 spikes, and Bailey Monks had 3.
"Overall, the girls played extremely well and are beginning to implement a higher level of play," said head coach Jen Outman. "Our main deficit again tonight was our serving. We just can't seem to get consistent when back behind the line. With that said, the girls did a phenomenal job on serve receive."
The B-team also won in two straight sets, 25-18 and 25-14.
"The girls are coming along nicely and are starting to implement the 3 hit system of play," Outman said of the group.
The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 24 at Troy.
