The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team picked up their 8th win of the year in a 4-1 defeat of Galeton on Wednesday, October 12.
The Hornets scored just 32 seconds into the start of the game as Kaeden Mann put in a header off a pass from Zach Singer from the left corner. Zack Rowland socred the Hornets' second and third goals on assists from Mann and Camron Littleton scored the game's fourth goal.
Joseph Grab also had 2 shots on goal, Littleton had one shot on goal and one goal, Mann had 3 shots on goal and one goal and 2 assists, Will Poirier had 1 shot on goal, Rowland had 4 shots on goal and 2 goals, Singer had 2 shots on goal and one assist, Kara Clymer had 2 shots on goal, and Jon Wetzel had 2 shots on goal. Lilly Abadi made 4 very crucial saves to help the Hornets win the day, while Ethan Ryan also recorded 2 keeper saves.
In the B-game, Galeton beat Wellsboro 4-2. Cara Tennis and Madelyn Rudy scored the Hornets' goals and Abadi made 5 saves.
The win improves the Hornets' record to 8-0. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 19 at Williamson.
