Three members of the Wellsboro Swim team earned medals on the second day of the District IV Swim meet on Thursday, February 3.
Junior Olivia Kurtz finished 2nd in the 100 Freestyle and set a new PR (55.58) to earn a silver medal. Kurtz now awaits to see if her time will qualify her for states.
"It feels pretty good for me to get out of the bronze medals," Kurtz said. "I'm really happy with my time," Kurtz said. "I don't know about states, but that would be super going to states."
Junior Nathan Cotner finished 3rd (48.88) to set a new PR and earn his second medal at the meet. Lewisburg's Brett Walker set a new pool record with a time of 48.45 in the race.
"I think that was really fast," Costner said of the race. "I am excited to see what comes of it."
