Girls track 1st, boys 4th at Wyalusing quad-meet

The Wellsboro Girls Track team notched another 1st place finish, while the boys finished 4th at Wyalusing on Tuesday, April 19.

The Lady Hornets won with 107 followed by Wyalusing (65), Troy (61), and Northern Tioga (46). On the boys side, Wyalusing won with 100 followed by Northern Tioga (81.5), Troy (60.5), and Wellsboro (31).

For the girls, senior Joey Taft was 3rd in the pole vault (7' 6"), senior Jada Jackson (13.44) and freshman Dahlia Hosey (13.78) took home the top two spots in the 100m, sophomore Rebecca Janelli (68' 7") was 5th in the discus, and senior Camryn Keane won the 800m (2:54.8).

Senior Raisa Rogers (5' 0") won the high jump with senior Mikayla Feil (4' 8") in 3rd, junior Hannah Lawton (26' 5.75") was 3rd in the shot put, senior Haley Zuchowski (52.42) won the 300m hurdles, Wellsboro was 2nd in the 4x800m relay (11:27.94), sophomore Anna Bleggi (6:09.12) was 2nd in the 1600m, and Jackson (35' 5.5") and senior Lindsey Graver (30' 4.5") went 1st and 2nd in the triple jump.

Wellsboro won the 4x100m relay in 53.32, freshman Zoe Iseri was 4th in the 400m (1:15.03), Graver was 2nd in the 200m (28.6), freshman Elizabeth Macias (14:26) was 5th in the 3200m, Jackson (16' 3.5") and Graver (16' 1") swept the long jump, and Feil (95' 2") and junior Samantha Spurgeon (87' 3") swept the javelin.

For the boys, sophomores Gabe Leach (8' 6") and Devin Webster (8' 0") were 2nd and 3rd in the pole vault, freshman Isaac Wagner (13.17) was 9th in the 100m, senior Isaac Leach (2:23) won the 800m, senior Rich Tardieu (5' 4") was 2nd in the high jump and 5th in the long jump (17' 7"), and junior Casey Hoover (31' 3") was 9th in the shot put.

Freshman Aidan Perry was 8th in the 300m hurdles (57.1), Wellsboro was 2nd in the 4x800m relay (9:47.34), Perry (5:11.95) was 3rd in the 1600m and 5th in the 3200m (11:18), and junior Brody Coolidge (130' 7") was 3rd in the javelin.

The Lady Hornets stay undefeated at 5-0 (4-0 NTL), while the boys fall to 0-5 (0-4 NTL). The teams will be back in action on Wednesday, April 27 at Athens.
