The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team beat Liberty 5-1 in the cold on Saturday, October 17.
Conrad Becker got things started for the Hornets as he scored off a beautiful cross from the right side from Jena Boyce. Kaeden Mann scored the second goal for the Hornets off a save from the Libety goalie for a 2-0 lead at the half.
Liberty would score their lone goal of the game in the middle of the second half off a long shot from the right side that made its way into the upper 90 off the goal. Will Poirier scored off a plenty kick minutes later to put the Hornets up 3-1 before Kara Clymer scored as she punched in her goal after the ball deflected off the Liberty keeper.
Becker scored the last goal of the night off a well placed shot from the left side.
Zach Rowland had five saves in goal for the Hornets as they improve to 6-2-1.
The team will be back in action later today as they host Sayre.
