MS Soccer shuts out Sayre, 5-0

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team shutout Sayre 5-0 on Monday, October 19 in their last home game of the year.

The B-team also won 1-0 on the night on a goal by Jared Bechtel.

The Hornets controlled the ball throughout the game. Kaeden Mann had the Hornets first two goals off assists from Conrad Becker and Joseph Grab. Zach Singer scored the final goal of the first half off an assist from Jenna Boyce. In the second half Wellsboro continued to pressure Sayre. Conrad Becker scored off an assist from Tucker Taft. Austin Richards scored the Hornets final goal off a direct kick.

Nathan Heath had three saves and Zach Rowland had two saves in goal.

The win improves the Hornets' record to 7-2-1. The team is back in action this afternoon as they travel to Galeton.
