MS Soccer shuts out Liberty, 7-0

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team earned their second straight win with a 7-0 shut out over Liberty on Thursday, September 17.

Wellsboro wasted little timescoring the first goal of the game within the first minute of play. Jena Boyce found Will Poirier for his first goal of the game. Karsen Kennedy would assist Joseph Grab making the score 2-0, then Kaeden Mann assisted Poirier for his second goal.

Conrad Becker assisted Kerrah Clymer on her goal making the score 4-0 going into halftime.

The Hornets continued to dominate in the second half. Grab scored his second goal of the contest off an assist from Zach Rowland. Mann scored the sixth goal of the night and Savana Baltzley scored the final and seventh goal for the Hornets.

In goal Zach Rowland had two saves, Zach Singer had two saves, and Luke Leach had one save.

The win improves the Hornets' record to 2-1. The team will be back in action on Monday, September 21 on the road in Sayre.
