Hornet Volleyball knocks off Williamson

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team beat Williamson 3-0 on Thursday, September 10.

The Hornets won the first set 25-15, won the second 25-17, and took the third 25-21. Senior Darci Warriner led the team with 9 kills, 6 points, and an ace. Senior Mikayla Feil recorded 5 kills, 7 points, and 3 aces, junior Morgan Florio had 4 kills, 9 points, and 3 aces, and twin-sister Kirsten Florio had 4 kills and 8 digs.

Senior Hannah Wagaman recorded 15 digs and senior Maddy Kyle and Morgan Florio each had 12 assists.

The Hornets lost the JV game 2-1 (23-25, 25-16, 13-15) to fall to 1-1 on the year.

With the win, the Varsity team improves to 2-0. The team will be in action on Saturday, September 12 at the Tunkhannock Tournament.
