The Wellsbro Varsity Volleyball team extended their win streak to 9 games as they edged out Wyalusing 3-2 on Tuesday, October 20.
Wellsboro won the first set 25-12, but Wyalusing took the next two sets 25-22 to force a fourth set. The Lady Hornets rallied to win the fourth set 25-14 and won the fifth and deciding set 16-14 to win the match.
Junior Kirsten Florio had 14 kills and 3 blocks, senior Maddy Kyle had 21 assists, senior Darci Warriner had 13 kills, 21 digs, and scored 13 points, and junior Morgan Florio had 12 kills and 13 assists.
Senior Haley Zuchowski had 4 assists, scored 21 points (4 aces), and made 18 digs. senior Hannah Wagaman made 26 digs, and senior Mikayla Feil scored 13 points (2 aces).
Wellsboro won the JV game 2-0 (25-16, 25-17) to improve to 12-4.
With the win, the Varsity team improves to 15-1 (8-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 22 as they host Towanda, their only loss of the year, in a White Out game.
