Hornet Volleyball down Sayre, 3-0

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team defeated Sayre 3-0 on Monday, September 28 to rebound from their first loss last week.
The Lady Hornets took the first set 25-19 and won both the second and third sets 25-16. Senior Darci Warriner had 11 kills on the night, junior Kirsten Florio made 8 kills, and junior Kaeli Butters recorded 4. Senior Maddy Kyle had 16 assists, Morgan Florio had 11 assists, and senior Hannah Wagaman made 12 digs.
Kirsten Florio recorded 4 blocks, senior Mikayla Feil scored 15 points, Kyle scored 13 points, and senior Haley Zuchowski scored 6 points.
The JV Lady Hornets also won on the night, picking up a 2-0 (25-13, 25-5) win.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 7-1 (3-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action today as they travel to Liberty.
