The Wellsboro Track teams hosted Northeast Bradford and Troy for their final home meet on Tuesday, April 28.
The girls won the meet with 112 points, while Troy (42) was 2nd and Northeast Bradford (30) was 3rd. On the boys side, Northeast Bradford won with 80 points, followed by Wellsboro in 2nd with 75, and Troy in 3rd with 33 points.
For the girls, Junior Jada Jackson (12.7) and Senior Lauren Bleggi (12.8) swept the 100m, Lauren Bleggi (27.4) won the 200m and Junior Lindsey Graver (28.1) was 2nd, and Senior Caitlynn Butler (1:09.7) was 2nd in the 400m. Junior Camryn Keane (2:48.9) and Senior Annie Sweeney (2:55.6) was 2nd in the 800m, Freshman Anna Bleggi (6:06) won the 1600m and Sweeney (6:27.1) was 3rd, Anna Bleggi (12:30) won the 3200m with Sophomore Janessa Davis (13:36) 2nd, Junior Haley Zuchowski was 2nd in the 100m hurdles in 17.0 and 2nd in the 300m hurdles (49.7) with Butler in 3rd (59.8).
The 4x100m relay of Lauren Bleggi, Jackson, Graver, and Junior Raisa Rogers won in 51.4 and the 4x800m team of Butler, Davis, Keane, and Sweeney won in 11:33.8. Junior Mikayla Feil won the high jump (5' 1") and Rogers (4' 11") was 3rd, Junior Joey Taft (7' 6"), Sophomore Melody Benner (7'), and Freshman Kaitlyne Kramer (6' 5") swept the pole vault, Jackson (16' 6.5") and Graver (15' 4") swept the long jump, and Jackson (35') and Graver (31' 1") swept the triple jump.
Sophomore Allyssa Boyd (25' 8.25") was 3rd in the shot put, Senior Meghan Bodine (85' 2") and Sophomore Hannah Lawton (78' 8") were 2nd and 3rd in the discus, and Feil (85' 1"), Sophomore Samantha Spurgeon (80' 10"), Keane (76'), and Freshman Lizzie Poirier (71' 7") were 2nd-5th in the javelin.
For the boys, Senior Michael Pietropola (11.4) won the 100m with Junior Rich Tardieu (11.5) in 2nd and Senior Brieux Thibaut (11.6) tied for 3rd, Thibaut (23.6) won the 200m and Senior Kieron Smethers (24.2) was 3rd, and Smethers (53.4) won the 400m.
Juniors Isaac Leach (2:19.6) and Dakota Cleveland (2:24.3) were 3rd and 4th in the 800m, Leach was 4th in the 1600m (5:03.7) and 4th in the 3200m (11:51.8), and Senior Jack Chambers (17.5) won the 110m hurdles and 2nd in the 300m hurdles (43.2).
The 4x100m relay team of Sophomore Brandon Lamphier, Pietropola, Smethers, and Tardieu won in 46.1, and Northeast Bradford took both the 4x400m and 4x800m runs. Tardieu (5' 6") and Lamphier (5' 2") swept the high jump, Freshmen Gabe Leach (7') and Devin Webster (7') were 2nd and 3rd in the pole vault, Sophomore Jacob Singer (16' 9") won the long jump, and Tardieu (39' 3.5") and Thibaut (39') swept the triple jump.
Senior Bill Lupkowski (38') was 5th in the shot put, Senior Evan English (109' 3") was 7th in the discus, and Lamphier (119' 2") and Sophomore Brody Coolidge (117' 9") were 2nd and 3rd in the javelin.
The girls improve to 7-1 and the boys improve to 5-3. Both teams will be back in action on Friday, May 1 as they participate in the Coudersport Invite.
