Boys XC beats Canton and CV; falls to Troy

The Wellsboro Varsity Boys XC team picked up two wins at a tri-meet with Canton, Troy, and Cowanesque Valley on Tuesday, October 13.

The Hornets beat Canton 23-32 and CV 24-31, but lost to Troy 22-33. Freshman Aidan Perry took 3rd overall with a time of 17:21, junior Alden Weiner (18:30) was 9th, sophomore Connor Brought (18:32) was 10th, junior Bryon Callahan (19:07) was 13th, freshman Bergen Weiner (19:20) was 15th, freshman Zach Busch (20:14) was 23rd, sophomore Kyle Wilson (20:19) was 24th, sophomore Logan Morral (22:00) was 33rd, freshman Taylor Wheeler (23:26) was 37th, and sophomore Noah Smith (31:09) was 45th.

In the Middle School race, the Hornets beat Canton and Troy 15-50 and lost to CV, 26-29. Austin Richards won the meet with a time of 9:05 and Lucas Citrino (10:24) was the second Hornet runner in 8th place.

The wins improve the Varsity team's record to 6-3. The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 at the NTL Coaches' Meet.
