The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team rebounded following their first loss in three years to defeat Athens 2-0 on Saturday, September 6.
The A team won the first game 25-8 and the second 25-17. Heidi Zuchowski led the team with 2 spikes and one kill. Hailey Neal also recorded a kill on the day, and Ryann Adams and Haley Widows recorded spikes.
In the B game, the Lady Hornets won 25-15 and 25-12.
"We had a better showing today," said head coach Jenn Outman. "The A-Team communicated and moved to the ball so much better. We had great serving from a few girls and much better with receiving a serve."
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 1-1. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, September 10 as they host Cowanesque Valley.
