The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team shut out Williamson 3-0 on Tuesday, September 30.
Wellsboro maintained possession for most of the game rarely allowing Williamson in their offensive third of the field. Conrad Becker found Brett Rudy for Wellsboro’s first goal of the game and the Hornets found themselves up 1-0 at half.
Rudy scored a second time off a Julia Smith assist to start off the second half. Zoe Iseri found Allen Hazleton for Wellsboro’s third and final goal later in the half to claim the victory.
The Hornets took 14 shots on goal compared to Williamson's six, and Nate Redell recorded six saves on the night.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 5-3. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 1 as they host Athens.
