The Wellsboro Middle School basketball teams continued their win streaks with wins over Williamson Friday night.
The girls A team won 22-12 to improve to 10-3. Sydney Tremper and Rachael Tuttle scored 7 points each, while Lizzie Poirier added 4 points, and Alyssa Yungwirth and Brianne Keane scored 2 points each.
"Our girls played excellent team defense and that allowed us to overcome a woeful shooting night in which we only made 10 of 51 shots from the field and 2 of 9 free throws," said head coach Darrell Morris. "This group of girls always give 100%, so if we can clean up some of the turnovers and finish the easy ones near the basket we could be really good."
The girls B team won an abbreviated game 2-0 to even their record at 3-3.
In the boys games, the A team won 39-4 to improve to 5-2. Collin Pietropola led the team with 10 points, Dalton Prough had 8, and Nic Ingerick chipped in 6.
The B team won a 10 minute game 14-11.
The boys are in action today at the Wyalusing Tournament while the girls return to play on Tuesday, March 11 as they travel to Mansfield.
