The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team rattled off their fifth win in a row with a 2-1 win over Wyalusing on Thursday, September 25.
The Lady Hornets got on the board early in the game as Junior Sarah Ingerick scored in the third minute to put the Hornets up 1-0. Wyalusing would even up the game in the 27th minute before Ingerick scored her second goal of the night in the 53rd for the goal ahead goal, giving the Lady Hornets the win.
Ingerick's two goals came on three shots. Sophomore Kelsey Logan had an assist on the night.
In the JV game, Wellsboro won 4-0 to improve to 3-4-1.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 6-4 (6-3 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 30 as they host Athens.
