The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team notched their fourth straight win as they shut out Williamson 4-0 on Thursday, September 18.
The Lady Hornets got the scoring started in the 27th minute as Senior Lauren Bleggi scored her first goal to put Wellsboro up, 1-0. Junior Lindsey Graver converted a penalty kick in the 38th minute to give the Hornets a 2-0 advantage before the end of the half.
Bleggi scored her second goal of the contest in the 46th minute and Sophomore Kelsey Logan added a goal in the 56th minute to capture the victory.
Wellsboro out shot Williamson 38-5 and also had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman Kailee Clymer made one save in goal on the night.
In the JV game, the Lady Hornets tied Williamson 1-1 and are now 2-4-1 on the year.
With the win, the Varsity team improves to 4-4 (4-3 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 23 as they host Mansfield.
