The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team scored three goals in the second half to defeat Northeast Bradford 4-1 on Thursday, September 11.
The Lady Hornets struck first as Junior Jenny Young scored in the third minute. Wellsboro was held scoreless the rest of the half. In the second half, Junior Lindsey Graver, Young, and Sophomore Kelsey Logan all scored to put the Hornets up 4-0. Northeast Bradford would score in the 61st minute of the game to avoid the shut out.
Freshman Kailee Clymer made one save in goal for Wellsboro.
In the JV game, Wellsboro won 2-0.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 2-4 (2-3 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 16 as they host Towanda.
