The Wellsboro Varsity wrestling team dropped their 14th match of the season as they lost to Northeast Bradford Thursday night, 48-20.
The match started at 138 lbs. and the Hornets quickly earned two forfeits with Junior Jack Chambers (138) and Senior Brandon Owlett (145). The Hornets dropped the next four matches before Freshman Kaleb Smith won 8-6 in sudden victory 1 over Zack Darling at 220 lbs.
The Hornets' other win of the contest came as Sophomore Tyler Evans won by tech fall over Casey Ellis at 126 lbs.
In the Middle School match the Hornets lost 36-33.
With the loss the team falls to 0-14 (0-8 NTL). The team will be back in action on Thursday, February 6 as they host Athens on Senior Night.
