The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team won their second straight game as they defeated Williamson 3-0 on Monday, October 6 in Wellsboro.
The Lady Hornets controlled each set, winning 25-18, 25-9, and 25-18 to pick up the non-league victory.
Junior Darci Warriner led the team with 11 points on 15 serve attempts, 4 kills, and 19 digs. Senior Peyton Wilson scored 10 points and recorded 10 digs, Sophomore Kirsten Florio had 8 points, 6 kills, and 6 digs, and Senior Paige Carr also had 12 digs.
Senior Jordan Butters had 3 kills and 1 block, Senior Danielle Mihalik had 8 kills, and Sophomore Morgan Florio had 6 digs.
In the JV game, the Lady Hornets won 2-0 (25-4, 25-14) to improve to 11-2.
With the win, the Varsity team improves to 9-4 (3-3 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, October 7 at Athens.
