Hornet Volleyball tops Canton in three

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team defeated Canton in three games (25-14, 25-13, 25-22) on Wednesday, September 17.
Sophomore Kirsten Florio led the team with 5 kills and Senior Peyton Wilson and Sophomore Morgan Florio each had seven assists. Junior Darci Warriner had 14 digs and Morgan Florio had eight digs, while Senior Paige Carr had nine digs.
Senior Jordan Butters had 10 points and three aces and Haley Zuchowski had seven points and Morgan Florio had eight points and three aces, while Warriner had six points and an ace.
Wellsboro won the JV match 25-18, 25-19 to improve to 6-0.
With the win, the Varsity team improves to 5-1 (0-1 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 20 as they participate in the Shamokin Tournament.
