The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team rebounded after losing to Troy to beat Athens 3-0 on Thursday, September 25.
The Lady Hornets won 25-18, 25-16, and 25-19 for the NTL Division 1 win.
Senior Peyton Wilson led the team with 10 points on 16 serve attempts, Junior Darci Warriner had 7 kills, 7 points, 2 blocks, and 22 digs, Senior Danielle Mihalik had 8 points and 12 digs, Junior Mikayla Feil had 8 points and 5 kills, and Senior Paige Carr had 13 kills.
In the JV game, the Hornets won 2-0 to improve to 7-1. With the win, the Varsity team improves to 6-2 (1-2 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 27 as they host Towanda.
